All authors will be invited to submit a structured abstract (maximum 300 words). The abstracts will be peer-reviewed and if accepted published online in a supplement issue of the journal ‘Biomedical Engineering / Biomedizinische Technik’ by De Gruyter. The published abstracts will be available online on the De Gruyter website (free access).

In addition, authors are invited to submit an optional conference paper (2 – 4 pages). The conference paper will be peer-reviewed and if accepted published in a special issue of the open access journal “Current Directions of Biomedical Engineering” by De Gruyter. Accepted conference papers submitted for the 14th Vienna International Workshop on Functional Electrical Stimulation will be published in a seperate special issue of "Current Directions of Biomedical Engineering". All accepted conference papers will be available online on the De Gruyter website (open access).
